Visit of General Philip Breedlove, Supreme Allied Commander Europe

The Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), General Philip Breedlove, U.S. Air
Force, visited Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO), and was
warmly welcomed by its Commander, Vice Admiral Phil Davidson, U.S. Navy and
other members of his staff.
General Breedlove engaged in spirited discussion with the staff during a
briefing he received on the Headquarters' unique capabilities and roles within
the NATO Alliance, and on STRIKFORNATO's upcoming exercise, TRIDENT JAGUAR 14,
which features a NATO Collective Defense (Article 5) response to an attack on an
Alliance member nation.
Following the briefing, SACEUR presided over a ceremony which presented
STRIKFORNATO with three Campaign Pennants for its previous service to NATO
during Operation ALLIED FORCE in 1999, International Security Assistance Force
(ISAF) in 2007 and Operation Unified Protector in 2011. Each Pennant recognized
