Portuguese Minister of Defence awards STRIKFORNATO Commander

Oeiras – This Tuesday, the Portuguese Minister of Defence, José Azeredo Lopes, awarded STRIKFORNATO Commander, Vice Admiral Cristopher Grady, with the Portuguese National Defence Medal, 1st class.
In this award, the Portuguese Minister of Defence recognized Vice Admiral Grady’s high personal and professional skills, vision and wisdom, which "enabled him to tackle difficulties and to project possible opportunities, in an era of change, not only in what concerns the reorganization of the ‘Reduto Gomes Freire’, but also with regard to the ongoing adaptation of the NATO’s Command and Forces Structure.”
For Vice Admiral Grady, this recognition represents not only the strong relationship with Portugal and the importance of the headquarters’ work for the Alliance, but also the work performed by STRIKFORNATO’s staff in accomplishing its mission.
