Deputy for Planning and Coordination to the Portuguese Chief of Defence Visits STRIKFORNATO

OEIRAS, Portugal – Rear Admiral Guy Robinson (Royal Navy), Deputy Commander of STRIKFORNATO, welcomed Lieutenant General António Martins Pereira (Portuguese Army), Deputy for Planning and Coordination to the Portuguese Chief of Defence, for an office call at STRIKFORNATO headquarters.

During his visit, Lieutenant General Pereira had the opportunity to meet STRIKFORNATO’s leadership and discuss the roles, capabilities, and mission of the command.

Lieutenant General Pereira is the officer in charge of the support provided by Portugal, as host nation, to STRIKFORNATO. The visit was an opportunity for him to increase his awareness regarding "the needs of STRIKFORNATO, the importance it represents for NATO, and the way the host nation can better support the organisation.”

STRIKFORNATO headquarters is located in Oeiras, Portugal after moving from Naples, Italy in 2012 as a part of NATO’s command structure reform.
