STRIKFORNATO welcomes Ambassadors and Representatives at its headquarters
Oeiras, PORTUGAL – Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) welcomed the Ambassadors and Representatives of NATO Allied Nations in Portugal at its headquarters, on 15 March.
The purpose of the visit was to inform the diplomatic representation on the activity of the command.
The explanatory briefings focused on specific areas, such as the core roles of STRIKFORNATO as a deployable headquarters; the capabilities and upcoming exercises; and the mission of the organisation.
The event was hosted by the Deputy Commander, Rear Admiral Guy Robinson, on the day of the 65th Anniversary of STRIKFORNATO.
Real Admiral Guy Robinson addressed all invitees saying he was "delighted that the Ambassadors and Representatives were able to visit the headquarters on our anniversary”. He highlighted that STRIKFORNATO was founded only 4 years after NATO’s inception and continues to be the "cornerstone of the Alliance”. The admiral also gave special recognition to the Portuguese representatives at the event, thanking the host nation for the great relationship and friendship with the headquarters and, specially, the staff, who always feel so welcomed in Portugal.
