Today, on the 7th January 2020, STRIKFORNATO welcomed the Director of the NATO Communications and Information Academy, Brigadier General Luís Duarte Santos for a courtesy call with Brigadier General Jason Bohm, STRIKFORNATO’s Chief of Staff.

Brigadier General Luís Duarte Santos was recently nominated to perform his duty as Director of the NCI Academy in Oeiras, Portugal after serving as Deputy Commander of the Portuguese Military Academy. STRIKFORNATO and NCI Academy share the same NATO joint headquarters in Lisbon and NCI Academy offer their support and effort to STRIKFORNATO.

The mission of the NCI Academy is to manage, coordinate and deliver Education and Individual Training (E&T) services to Agency customers and internal staff in support of NATO strategic, operational and business objectives.

STRIKFORNATO is a rapidly deployable and scalable headquarters capable of planning and executing full spectrum joint maritime operations and providing command and control of maritime Ballistic Missile Defense. As part of this mission, STRIKFORNATO is responsible for the integration of U.S. naval, carrier, and amphibious forces into NATO operations to provide assurance, deterrence, and collective defense for the Alliance.
