STRIKFORNATO recognises superior performance of personnel
The recognition of superior performance is a tradition of the Armed Forces. Exercise TRIDENT JUPEITER 2019 provided personnel assigned to STRIKFORNATO, who performed above and beyond their peers the opportunity to be recognized with a STRIKFORNATO Letter of Appreciation or a Certificate of Commendation.
STRIKFORNATO’s Acting Commander, Rear Admiral Guy Robinson, had the privilege of leading the TRIDENT JUPITER 2019 awards ceremonies, held on the 12th and 13th November on board USS Mount Whitney (LCC 20) to thank STRIKFORNATO’s personnel for their outstanding performance during the execution of the exercise.
TRIDENT JUPITER 2019 is a Computer-Assisted Command Post Exercise (CAX/CPX) based upon a NATO Article 5 scenario, developed by the NATO Joint Warfare Center. This exercise aims to train and certify STRIKFORNATO as a NATO Expanded Task Force.
STRIKFORNATO provides a Maritime Battle Staff under the Operational Command (OPCOM) to SACEUR in order to deliver a rapidly deployable and scalable headquarters capable of planning and executing the full spectrum of joint maritime operations, and providing command and control of maritime Ballistic Missile Defence, primarily through integration of U.S. naval and amphibious forces, in order to provide assurance, deterrence, and collective defence for the Alliance.
