BALTOPS 20 Awards Ceremony

In recognition of superior performance, Exercise BALTOPS 20 provided augmentees assigned, who performed above and beyond their peers, the opportunity to be recognized with a STRIKFORNATO Letter of Appreciation or Commendation and STRIKFORNATO Challenge Coin.

STRIKFORNATO’s Deputy Commander, Rear Admiral Guy Robinson, led the BALTOPS 20 Awards Ceremony, held on the 16th June at the Headquarters to thank STRIKFORNATO’s personnel for their prestigious performance throughout the duration of the exercise.

BALTOPS, held in the Baltic region since in 1972, is a joint, maritime-focused exercise that brings together NATO Allies and Partners in order to increase interoperability and enhance flexibility among the participants.

STRIKFORNATO provides a Maritime Battle Staff under the Operational Command (OPCOM) to SACEUR in order to deliver a rapidly deployable and scalable headquarters capable of planning and executing the full spectrum of joint maritime operations, and providing command and control of maritime Ballistic Missile Defence, primarily through integration of U.S. naval and amphibious forces, in order to provide assurance, deterrence, and collective defence for the Alliance.
