STRIKFORNATO HAS A NEW DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF FOR OPERATIONS

Rear Admiral Marco Papi (an Italian Navy Aviator) has now assumed duties as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations (DCOS OPS) at STRIKFORNATO.

As part of STRIKFORNATO’s Command Group, the DCOS OPS, provides advice to the Commander in the planning and execution of Operations. The DCOS OPS is responsible for monitoring and coordinating Operations-related staff functions, directing and overseeing all activities of the Operation Divisions.

Born in Civitavecchia (Rome) in 1967, RAdm. Papi attended the Naval Academy in Livorno where he graduated in 1990 with the rank of Ensign and a degree in Maritime and Naval Sciences.

Before his current assignment, RAdm. Papi served in many different units in the Italian Navy both in Italy and abroad.
