STRIKFORNATO's Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Marcus Annibale, started the SPRC meeting with welcoming remarks and a personal gratitude to all the MOU Nations for their continued support to the Alliance.
The meeting included a detailed briefing about the structure, role, mission, capabilities, organization, manning, and financing of STRIKFORNATO.
The Committee also had the opportunity to tour the HQ, where the increased operational capabilities and readiness status of the HQ, ready to deploy rapidly with optimized capabilities to plan, and command and control maritime operations across the full spectrum of Alliance missions and act as a joint commander for maritime/expeditionary operations for smaller joint operations, were highlighted.
This meeting marked the first in-person SPRC discussion in over one year as the previous two were held virtually due to COVID restrictions.
STRIKFORNATO is a MOU organization of thirteen member nations, with the United States as the Lead Nation. The MOU is among Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States.
