STRIKFORNATO Command visits CINCNAV
Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) Deputy Commander, Rear Admiral James Morley, and Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Rear Admiral Marco Papi, visited CINCNAV, the Italian Navy Fleet Headquarters, and were welcomed by the Fleet Commander, Vice admiral Aurelio De Carolis.
The visit served to discuss current and future working relationships and mutual cooperation between both organizations.
STRIKFORNATO Command also had the opportunity to visit ITS CAVOUR that was recently, and for the first time in history, under NATO command conducting NEPTUNE SHIELD 22 Vigilance Activity.
Developing and continuing dynamic relationships between leadership across the Alliance is critical to STRIKFORNATO’s and NATO’s mission success.
STRIKFORNATO is Supreme Allied Commander Europe's (SACEUR) premier, rapidly deployable and flexible, maritime power projection Headquarters, capable of planning and executing full spectrum joint maritime operations, primarily through the integration of U.S. naval and amphibious forces, in order to provide assurance, deterrence, and collective defence for the Alliance.
