The distinguished visitors included Senator Jerry Moran, Senator John Boozman, Senator Katie Britt, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Senator Bill Cassidy and Rep. Robert Aderholt, accompanied by The Honorable Randi Charno Levine, US Ambassador to Portugal.
The guests were briefed on past exercises, such as Formidable Shield 23 and BALTOPS 23, as well as future activities, more notably the Neptune Strike series.
The distinguished visitors had the chance to experience firsthand how these events demonstrate the Alliance commitment to ensuring security and stability across the European theatre, while simultaneously showing how vital the transatlantic bond is for NATO’s mission of Deterrence and the Defence of its 1 billion citizens.
Looking towards the future, STRIKFORNATO will execute Neptune Strike 23.2, starting 10 July, representing NATO’s determination as one alliance to defend all of its member states through its advanced capabilities and interchangeability. The outcomes of this activity constitute a tangible, transparent display of advanced capabilities in all-domain operations and the defensive commitment of the NATO Alliance across Supreme Allied Commander Europe’s (SACEUR) Area of Responsibility.
STRIKFORNATO seamlessly and routinely integrates U.S. and other nation’s carrier and amphibious forces into NATO operations to provide assurance and strengthen the collective defence capabilities of the Alliance.
