STRIKFORNATO Welcomes a New Chief of Staff

Oeiras, Portugal - Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO (STRIKFORNATO) welcomed its new Chief of Staff (COS) Rear Admiral Michael Wosje, who assumed responsibilities from Brigadier General Marcus Annibale on July 15, 2022.

RDML Wosje is a U.S. Navy Aviator who most recently served as the executive assistant to the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Warfighting Requirements and Capabilities, N9, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in Washington, D.C.

BGEN Annibale served at STRIKFORNATO from July 2020 to July 2022. Despite assuming command during the COVID-19 pandemic, BGEN Annibale successfully integrated into the work dynamic and served as an integral part of STRIKFORNATO’s leadership staff.

As the new COS, RDML Wosje will now provide overall supervision and direction for the staff to ensure proper liaison and coordination with other principal support staffs in support of the Commander and Deputy Commander.
